The space I live in.
This is the space that I pretty much live in -- you can see my bed above, the ladder leading up to my bed, the standing lamp, which I purchased this past weekend, my dry-erase board where I write out what I have to get done that day, and have a couple polaroids of a good friend and myself, my chair that rocks back with my jacket draped over the back, and part of my desk, which leads to the next picture...
The second photo is of my desk! Computer there with Adium open chatting away instead of working on a paper, behind a number of polaroids of friends back home and people I've met here, to the left of my computer is my ipod stereo (yay), and between you can see my deodorant and writing utensils bowl, and then to the right is my lamp that gets WAY too freaking hot. Above, on the shelf, resides my folders and books and such. As well as winter gloves and hats. Mmm fun.
Norbert! Since we can't have pets in the dorms I went and purchased Norbert from the clearance section at Wal-Mart. He was rather brown and dying when I purchased him, but I've been able to bring him back to life! Norbert is a dracena marginata if you were at all curious. He sits to the right of my desk on some drawers. He used to be on the windowsill, but the pot he's in isn't very heavy, so he would always be blown off and I would have to clean him up. I think he's much happier at his current location anyway.
The fourth photo is of my scarves (you can see their location more clearly in the first picture) that I've collected over the years. The first one I actually found on a handicapped sign by Bethesda (an old folks home). I was forced to wait the whole day to go back and get it because my friend's wanted to give the owner chance to reclaim the scarf. The second one was my friend Emily's that she gave me, the third from my parents at Christmas, and the last one I knitted here during Labor Day Weekend.
Then, my shoes! Oh how I love thee. I've stopped wearing flip-flops because they're horrendous for your feet, and have taken up wearing these babies almost constantly. Hence the picture.
Lastly, look it's me! Gasp. Behind me and to the right you can kind of make out my room-mate's stuff, and yet another polaroid and a post-card from my foreign exchange student!
So, this is my living space. What about yours? Everyone should share pictures of where they live (or at least their room). It'd be fun, and be sure to let me know if you do!
