Finally! The weather has shown its chilly face!
I'm such a huge sucker for colder weather. Mainly because I can turn my heat on in my apartment and feel all snug and... warm. I dunno -- there's just something about the cold, frigid (snow-filled, hopefully) air blowing against my windows while I'm inside the glow of my third-floor apartment that makes me smile. Maybe it's a testament that I feel accomplished in being able to have an apartment with bills and food costs while juggling work and school and life and all that.
I'm so sososo ready for winter.
I'm at my parent's house right now -- and being called to help make some green-bean dish! I'll write more later. It's been awhile y'all -- how are things?
I'm going into hibernation. I keep putting myself out there. I keep trying and trying and trying, and I keep getting slapped down. Man, I need to just stop trying to find men, I need to strengthen the friendships I have -- concentrate on them. All of this stems from a building up of bad situations and annoyances and general shit. And, as my Facebook profile will attest, I'm not taking any shit!
Facebook is another thing that's no good.
I'm becoming a hermit for awhile -- for my sanity and schooling. This doesn't mean I won't have any fun or experience things because that'd just be depressing. And I'm not depressed. I'm just realizing that I'm too open with people. Maybe I try too hard as well?
I really like that the weather is getting colder. Mhmmm.
I bought some winter clothes today -- I'm rather excited and want the colder weather to be here! Fifty-two degrees is not enough! I also cry a little bit on the inside everytime I spend money.
Also picked up several applications at the mall for working during winter break. I need myself some money, and it'll be nice having actual job experience.
And now I'm at home (not school), eating donettes, and (hopefully) working on a paper. We'll see how much I get done. My main goal for this weekend is to relax and de-stress, so I'm ready for the rest of the semester!
