Yay, welcome back to school!
I've decided that Monday from after lunch to my 2:30 class is my time to relax. I'll clean my room and sit and read and listen to music. And I guess I could get work done, but I'm not making it a priority because I seriously need some time like this in my week.
No classes on Friday! I'm really, really excited. My goal is to not have any laundry to take home with me (I'm going home this weekend), so I can pack light and not have to lug my big duffel around. I may bring home sheets to be washed. I also want to get a rug for my room and a chair for people to lounge in. I wonder if my room-mate would mind me just picking out a rug... he might not like it, but eh -- he probably wouldn't say anything anyway. I think it would also be really nice to have a standing lamp to put beside the chair. Ahh too many ideas. I don't know if I have that much space for all of this.
So, what I want to do while home.
(1) Go shopping for:
a. clothes
b. chair
c. stand-up lamp?
(2) Do a paper.
(3) Go to a friend's birthday party.
(4) Hang out with one of the family (ie really good friend who I haven't seen since the summer!)
Mainly I want to get a lot of sleep and rest and work on getting over my allergies or cold or whatever. Basically just get away for awihle. I also really want to re-organize my room... ha. I need to think about this a little though.
Bye, all.
So, I'm staying up at college for Labor Day Weekend, and it's funny walking through the halls right now because everyone's alarms are going off (as if they were going to school, you know). I just find it amusing.
I'm doing laundry right now, and it's amazing. I love clean clothes and clean sheets. The weather is slightly overcast and the morning conveys this calmness that's really awesome. I'm so relaxed right now.
What else must get done today...
1) While the laundry is going I'll continue to knit.
2) Pick up a book for a friend.
3) Trip to Wal-Mart
4) Start paper.
5) Maybe go on a bike ride?
That's really all I want to put on my plate for today. I'm excited about this weekend. YAYAY.
I completed everything on my to-do list today!
- get extra set of car keys made
- take bike into shop to get it fondled (I mean checked out)
- get OLD OLD disposable cameras developed
- clean inside of car windows with WINDEX!
So, yeah. A completely awesome productive day! Got up at eight (oh my, I know) and went over to a friend's house to see her off. Then road down to the bike shop and purchased some lube (more on that later) and an air pump! The guy totally fawned over my old-school bicycle, saying that it was awesome and great. I agree! He also complimented when I knew this song on the radio and began singing along.
I went back to my house, read the instructions on my awesome bicycle lube/cleaner, determinedly strutted out to my bike in the garage, and commenced with lubrication! I had to put the chain on the highest gear and lowest cog (the smaller gear in the back of the bike) and then squirt like mad (seriously, the bottle told me to do this). Then after squirting I was supposed to freewheel my back wheel backwards, which allowed the dirt and grime to surface where I could then WIPE off that sucker. It was really fun, but I kind of half-assed it since I didn't bring enough paper towels to get it really clean, and I think I needed to use more lube (always use more lube then necessary, nice and slick, ohoho). I shall do it again tomorrow! And really go at that bicycle! I also took Pledge and dusted the bike, so it's really nice and shiny. All ready for college! I'll post a picture or two of my bicycle sometime. Mmm.
Also, my mom and I had dinner and she let me splurge a bit at Urban Outfitters. Was really nice since I was in dire need of some new clothes. Yay.
AHHH college in TWO DAYS. I'm freaking excited!
